Skills for a Sustainable Economy - IEMA Leading the way event

  • 10 Jul 2014
  • 17:15 - 19:30
  • ORT House, Conference Centre, London NW1 7NE

GACSO members are invited to attend this influential ‘Leading the Way’ event organised by IEMA.  The event is scheduled to follow on from the GACSO Professionalisation workshop on the same day.  Both events are being held at ORT House Conference Centre, London, NW1 7NE

Many organisations have begun to embrace more sustainable approaches to their long-term business strategies. On a broader scale the whole economy must become more sustainable to deliver more equitable societies and a business environment that generates competitive advantage by working with and within natural limits.

This transition requires a refocusing of the existing skills base of nations and the definition of the skills needed to deliver a sustainable economy.

IEMA is taking a leading role in this agenda and is holding this early evening Leading the Way workshop and networking event to stimulate discussion amongst senior professionals.

This engaging session will be based on group discussions stimulated by presentations from:

  •          Peter Young (Chairman, Aldersgate Group) – Defining the sustainable economy: ‘An Economy that Works
  •          Jae Mather (Non-Executive Director, New Form Energy) – Governance needs of a sustainable economy
  •          Tim Balcon (Chief Executive, IEMA) - Skills needs for a sustainable economy

The event will be followed by a drinks reception, with light refreshments (7.30-8.30pm), enabling you to network with like minded environment and sustainability leaders.

GACSO members can register for this event - simply e-mail your interest by clicking here
